Victoria Falls

One of the most amazing attractions is: Mosi-oa-Tunya is what the locals call it – which means ‘the smoke that thunders’. No wonder Victoria Falls thunders, it’s the largest waterfall in the world!  Found on the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia, this UNESCO World Heritage Site has been leaving tourists and locals in awe with its size and power. The Zambezi river is almost 2 kilometres wide by the time it plummets down the falls. This makes the falls the world’s greatest sheet of water and, some say, the most beautiful.

Mount Kilimanjaro

Kilimanjaro has long been an iconic image of Africa. Standing at 5,895 metres, Kili is the highest peak in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the world. Even if you’re not the exploring type, there’s an easier route that makes the peak accessible to most able-bodied tourists.

On your way to Kili, you will have to stop over in Dar es Salaam. The city itself is an interesting melting pot of cultures and is great fun to explore. Luckily for you, we’ve got the perfect hotel for your Tanzanian stay: City Lodge Hotel Dar es Salaam.
