The 176-room City Lodge Hotel GrandWest is themed in the original Cape Dutch style of architecture in keeping with its location within the GrandWest Casino Complex in Cape Town.
This convenient location affords guests easy access to all of the casino resort’s attractions, including a cinema complex, ice-rink, restaurants, bars, gaming tables and slot machines, as well as a fully kitted out children’s entertainment area.
The hotel is 20 minutes from Cape Town International Airport, the CBD and the famous V&A Waterfront.

While GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World undergoes a major electrical upgrade, rest assured that City Lodge Hotel Grand West will continue to provide its warm hospitality without interruption. While we share a property with our glamorous neighbour, we operate independently, ensuring seamless service for our valued guests.
The entire GrandWest complex will be temporarily closed from 23:00 on Sunday, 18 February to 18:00 on Wednesday, 21 February 2024. While the main gate will be shut, dedicated security personnel will be on hand to assist, making access for our guests and staff hassle-free. Kindly bear with us as they verify your name on our latest arrivals list. You can reach our hotel as usual by car or taxi, and delivery services will function normally.

Would recommend definitely the place... been there for a couple of nights on business trip… you can walk to the mall/casino next to it without any problems… friendly front desk staff and really clean rooms
I have been staying here for many years now and it's really a great place to stay, friendly staff and neat clean rooms with many options of places to eat at. Often when I have any special requests they handle it with ease and pleasure!
Very accommodating staff. I have extreme dairy, soy and gluten allergies, and City Lodge provided almond milk which was really lovely! The buffet in the morning was delicious too. Rooms were very clean; i had a lovely stay! Thank you!
Excellent service. Room very clean & spacious. Meals were delicious. Dining room relaxed environment. Gardens excellent to relax in. Good location to make your base for travel in & around Cape Town. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
Amazing get away GrandWest City Lodge definitely deserves more than their 3 stars. From the moment you walk in the doors till your very last minute the service was excellent. The breakfast buffet is definitely worth it, and the front of house manager is very caring, helpful and friendly.
