The South African Service Awards are the premier customer-driven service awards in South Africa, and The City Lodge Group was proud to be included on the list of winner for 2012!
The premise behind the Service Awards is simple: in order to develop and maintain great customer service in South Africa, companies need to know what customers think about the level of service they deliver. All of the companies are rated by their actual customers, providing an unbiased view of their level of service.
City Lodge entered the competition to understand our customers’ experiences, and show our commitment to improving our service.

Through great leadership, teamwork, integrity, holding true to our values, and a commitment to kindness, we believe it’s our people and the relationships that they build with our guests that allows us to grow and prosper.
We appreciate our customers taking the rime to rate us, helping us to improve our service levels through both positive and negative feedback. At City Lodge, we truly do care for people, and really want to make a positive difference to our guests, colleagues, communities, and environment.
A thank you must also go to our dedicated staff – it’s your tireless efforts to make guests feel welcome, in going the extra mile, and caring about the safety and wellbeing of each and every guest that has earned City Lodge this esteemed award.
We care about customer satisfaction
Over 200,000 ratings were received from voters between 1 September and 30 November 2012, making it the largest consumer-driven customer satisfaction awards in Africa. Customers have the opportunity to rate service as being excellent, good, average, poor, or very poor, and can include comments or suggestions.
The winners were announced at the SA Service Awards Ceremony at the Auckland Park Country Club on 1 March 2013 and we couldn’t be prouder.
